A bit of a change on the personal end. Wife and I will only be in BR for at max 2 years (residency completion) then head back to Nola.
I didn't care for the course at Baton Rouge CC. Although very nice and well maintained, the course will be played from the same tees every time, lacks versatility compared to CCLA or UClub. CCLA, fantastic course, a little wet from the rain we had throughout March. If we were going to be in BR for a longer period of time, would make more sense and been my choice.
No kids, just me and wife. Don't need a 40k sq foot clubhouse.
UClub got my juices flowing from a competitive golf standpoint. UClub will sharpen the game much more over the next two years than either course would.

That makes sense, your game will definitely be the better for it

I probably would have joined The Island. But to each their own.

Made a few friends upset but Uclub is above and beyond the best “private” course in BR.

I’d just buy Alleva’s house cheap and stay in BR then
