Can’t wait to play again in Nashville for the title, hopefully with both squads at full strength

Not sure it’ll be close if we have our best player and Naz Reid scores more than 1 point.

Jk, good game.

Bone played with the flu and our best player was a complete no show until the final two minutes

Schofield was a non factor as well after tweaking his knee

Yikes. You started off well and faded off with that one. Bone sure didn’t look very “sick out there” Schofield hit every shot he took I don’t care if he didn’t score in the last couple possessions because then Williams picked it up from him. Fact our top 2 dawgs scored 1 point. Great game either way from both teams.

They showed Bone damn near dry heaving at the start of the second half on the bench, he definitely is battling something

Like I said, GGs and hopefully we meet again in Nashville

First of all, I was kidding.

But your best player went for 18/9/3 and ours didn’t fricking play. That is right at his average.

Bone went for 13/3, also right at his average. And your boy Schofield dropped 27/9/1, which is way above his average.

Your team and best players played to their season averages and our two best players were 1/7/0 COMBINED.

Schofield had his best game since Gonzaga, shame I couldn’t see him finish it after taking that knock at around 10 to go in the 2nd

I’ll be having nightmares about Smart driving to the hoop tonight

Don't whine about players

Williams averages 19.1 pts and 7.6 rebounds, got 18 and 9
Schofield averages 16.5 and 6.3, got 27 and 9
Bone averages 13.2 pts, 3.1 rebounds, and 6.5 assists. He got 13 pts, 3 rebounds... and 0 assists.
Your guys got their points, got their rebounds. Didn't get the assists because LSU played good defense.

For LSU,
Tremont Waters averages 15.7 pts, 2.9 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 3 steals. Oh, and leads the team in minutes played. We got a big zero across the board on him, since he didn't even suit up.
Naz Reid averages 13.8 pts and 6.6 rebounds, we got 1 pt and 7 rebounds.

LSU gets 1 total pt from its' top 2 scorers.

Having Smart carry the load instead of Waters appeared to work out very well for LSU today, we could’ve used Tremont going 3 for 12 out there today

Smart was key today, for sure

But don't laugh too much at Waters... you also had 4 guys (including Schofield, Williams and Bone) with 4 fouls. Waters drives a lot, and he, Mays and Smart play on the court together.

Think that was the difference today. Both Bowden and Bone picked up 4 fouls with around 9 to go in the 2nd (think we were up 64-55), and Smart just took over knowing they didn’t want to pick up a 5th.

Barnes really fricked us holding onto a scholarship and not getting a 4th guard in the offseason.

If you would have told me that Waters doesn't play and Reid and Taylor score 2 points combined I'd have told you we got killed. What WW and the team did today was incredible. When I heard that Waters was out I said that Smart and Mays would have to have huge games. They did.Talk about confidence builder! We can win on the road! We can come from behind! We can win at the foul line! And we can win without our all american point guard! We will be dangerous come tournament time!
