The mean salary for an intern physician right out of med school is like $52k +\- 2k; that’s after a minimum of 8 years of school and training just to get to that point. They also work like 85 hours a week (some work even more).
Just food for thought.

Let's say i know absolutely nothing about the economy, taxes, welfare, ebt, or any other government handouts....
How the actual frick does the government afford to give everyone $43k a year when the majority of Americans stop working?
Only about 50% of the US works now. We can't continue to pay for more LAZY people.
The fricking math doesn't add up.
How do you socialist POS think that works?

Well, AOC said the Fed could simply print some more money and finance it like they did with the war!

Pandering to the illiterates. Notice it's 18 year olds. Why not sixteen year olds? Maybe because they can't vote.

Whatever, we need to close that pesky wealth gap. The Rich have skin in the game, and need to pay their fair share.

We do. If those without jobs will get off their arse and work, get trained and saved like me...they will close the gap. As an intern physician I made about $31,000 in 2000-2001 and averaged 85-90 hours/week. At age 26. Skin in the game? You have to work to get that. I paid my dues so I could get paid. That's how you get "skin in the game". "Fair share"? That's a flat tax. Everyone needs to pay their fair share, including the poor and lazy.

Annual subsidies for poor adults? That will end well. The number of ODs on payout day will be tremendous.
I'd be good with it if it stipulates that you can never, ever, ever get another gov't handout. No exceptions. $46k would be a bargain. And the money MUST be used for education, job training, housing (not mobile homes or rentals), even towards starting a small business.
But once you get it...you done. Sink or swim motherfricker.

And within a year it will be back in the hands of the 1%.

I need to start a financial advisory book. There is no way the Democrats don’t win one big election over the next 30 years and the Fed isn’t forced to inflate their way out of this disaster.
