Related question.... what does DC think about Sequoia and Thunder Grill?

Eta- I came to find myself invested in a small company that owns those two places in DC but Ive never been to either. Of course the websites make them look swanky.

never been to Thunder Grill but been to Sequoia several times

Food is solid and it's a nice place. The best part is all the waterfront seating and the bar area.

I've been to Thunder Grill dozens of times, and I only know of it as a happy hour hangout. That seems to be what drives the business. Most customers don't seem to be there for the culinary experience, which is probably above average.
