I would try to get a bidding war going between the Clippers and someone else like Phoenix. Phoenix will have a high pick this year and several young players worth taking a look at.

jrue was traded (hurt) with a 2nd round pick (pierre jackson) for the #6 pick (nerlens noel) and a future 1st protected 1-5 in 2012 (elfrid payton). since then he's healed, become a 1st team all-defense player and a fringe all-star candidate.

it would be very interesting if the suns wanted to discuss terms even if the pels take the celtics deal.

Holiday is also 5 or 6 years older and playing on a near max deal. He is very injury prone and is a fit issue (where does he play). He is not a pure point anymore, if he ever was one, and the Suns are loaded with wing players. He would probably be a better fit with the Clippers and their big young PG. But it seems like the Clippers have their sites set on bigger fish..
