Not sure where to start. There are like 50 different brands etc at Lowe’s and Home Depot. Basically just for house use(me and my neighbor splitting one). I know they all have different PSIs but not sure how to find one that doesn’t break the bank but is still a good quality unit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Don’t get electric unless u just washing cars or boats.. I got the biggest electric that Lowe’s had and it still sucks.. GPM is more important than psi I found out

Whatever brand you get make sure it has a Honda engine.

Just pressure washed 8 hours on the house today. Honda pressure washer. Residential edition and it worked fine. However for the amount of pressure washing I have going forward I may buy a commercial pressure washer for those out of reach areas on the eves etc

Get a good mask and goggles if you are applying bleach. You are going to need a slicker and boots too. You are going to get slap nasty and wet

Good choice for sure. I have a TroyBilt with the Honda engine that I got from Home Depot many years ago and it has served me well. I did have to replace the pump and went with a larger capacity one and a better quality one than what came with the unit.

It's been on the washer for a few years now and working fine. I use it at least 3-4 time a year between sidewalks, driveways and doing my huge 2 story wood clad house.

I bought a harbor freight freight power washer I have the 3100 psi 2.8 gpm with the 6.5hp predator engine. I've had it for 5 years no issues just basic maintenance oil, o rings etc. I also noticed if the Chinese pump ever goes out which it haven't yet you can order them on Ebay for dirt cheap.

Depends. If its a GC-series then pretty much any of the numerous clones are just as good and they are pretty much universal in any of the residential-grade pressure washers using horizontal shaft engines. Even the GS-series is only marginally better. Yamaha has gotten into the small engine market in the last several years and their engines are excellent, lot of commercial/industrial grade features.

What do you plan on washing? There is a lot of hate for the electric ones on this board. I have a Ryobi electric I got that serves me well. I can wash my house (with the assistance of Jomax) and my driveway without problems. The driveway takes time, but I'm going to try the washer heads designed for use with electrics this year. It sucks to lug a cord around, but for light use, electrics aren't that bad.

Hydroquip. Made with a Honda engine and Cat pump, can’t beat them if you can swing it.

Agree with this. Do not get electric and make sure it has a Honda engine. You will be fine if you follow those two rules of thumb.

Same here. I pressure wash the house, fence, and driveway once, maybe twice, a year. It works fine. Wasn't expensive at all.
