Your contention is that landowners in Texas are going to be blocking the wall? K...
No, my contention in this thread is that our village idiot is incorrect in asserting that the Roosevelt Reservation spans the entire southern border. It spans approximately 1/3 of the southern border ... all west of El Paso.

It is also my contention that some small number of people are going to believe said idiot because he was able to find a single (now defunct) website that made an ncorrect statement regarding the length of said Reservation ... when objective facts from reputable sources (Left, Right and Center) say otherwise ... solely because they want to hear the lies.

Sadly. This alone is of interest. There's no need to overstate it beyond that. It just reduced the effectiveness of the information

Well once it gets to the river, it’s no longer land you dipshits.

Technicalities matter.

Isn't it funny that the left is so adamantly opposed to imminent domain laws that could be used to slow the tide of unfettered illegal immigration, when they wish that there were no private property and that every business was under government ownership.

I guess you missed the point.

They are against imminent domain but don't believe you should own private property.

IOW imminent domain is unnecessary when the government already owns all property

So in 1907 a great American president saw a big problem along the southern border with Mexico and he worked with Congress to do something about it.

Hmmmmm

What's wrong with Congress today?

I don’t see how a landowner would think he could stop the wall anyway. My family had some of the best farm land in North Alabama and the government came in and took it for the creation of the Redstone Arsenal. The government does this everyday across the country. We have lost land in the last 5 years for road construction through the middle of farms. Lost lots of land over the years for powerlines, roads, sewer lines,
All you can do is take what they give you and move along.

Before that existing fencing went up, the federal government launched its most aggressive seizure of private land in decades. In less than a year, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security filed more than 360 eminent domain lawsuits against property owners, involving thousands of acres of land in the border states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. And in countless cases, the government gave landowners lowball offers based on flawed appraisals. Many of those land seizure cases remained tied up in court more than a decade later.

Expropriation cases often drag on for years over compensation but the taking is pretty much immediate. I would think cases dragging on over the money would not be unexpected but the implication that someone was stopping the taking is misleading

Thats nice.

I would guess that a National Emergency can pretty much tell those people..."That's nice...but, move your shiit out of our way".
