National Emergency: day one

I had one solid bm.
Picked up a #2 from Mickey D’s for breakfast on my way to work.
Company Burger with onion rings for lunch and I feel like I’ve kind of smelt funny ever since.
Took a nap when I got home and ordered sushi on postmates from a place three blocks away.
I’m posted up in my upstairs window now drinking Michter’s Barrel Strength, chain smoking Parliament Lights, and vaping Chem Dawg weed gravy. I’ve been here since the sun went down waiting on the hordes of aliens, but nothing so far. Not so much as a single cocaine dealer, or child trafficker.
Don’t worry about me though, good buddies. I’m well armed and properly supplied. I just pray to the good lord that the rest of you are as well.
The darkest hour is just before the dawn. Be safe, good buddies.

My prediction: More bodies than those killed by the tax cuts but less than those killed because they lost obamacare health insurance.

A report from the front lines (New Mexico):
Managed to make it to work today.
Couple of tense moments when I overheard some non-english speakers at the next table at the restaurant I went to for lunch.
Javier in accounting has no idea how close he came to death today when he startled me as I was walking to my car.
Made it home without incident. (I've always been lucky)
Wife made a great dinner and we had great time with the kids.
Didn't get the house in to full lock-down until an hour after dark, but I've done a full sweep and we are clear.
I'm locked and loaded for the night.
Wish me luck.
Managed to make it to work today.
Couple of tense moments when I overheard some non-english speakers at the next table at the restaurant I went to for lunch.
