Come to Tennessee. If it's what you prefer, we have a flat tax system in place. We have no income tax, and we're phasing out the Hall Tax (a tax on investments) by 2021. Land here is very cheap, and the public schools in suburban areas are great. We also have a program called Tennessee Promise, where everyone can earn an Associate's degree for free.

I've heard very good things about Tennessee and have been considering it. I believe I made a post on the off-topic board a few months ago.
