I'll be there for the weekend in a few weeks and have never played that course. What say those who have?

Played it about a month ago. In rough shape. Awesome layout. Greens were VERY slow. Areas around the greens held water too.

It’s better. Had a rough winter.
Layout amazing. Greens in good shape. Just low.

yep to echo others it is an amazing layout.
if someone had a ton of money to improve/maintain conditions it would be a true gem.

Why do people downvote simple, honest questions?

Greens are still not great. Amazing layout, but greens have always been an issue. The nematodes in 2013 and fungus and algae in 2016 and 2017 hurt. I hope Scenic Rivers can turn it around because the layout is too good to lose this course.

I’d say average for time of year. Greens looked and rolled pretty well, but course was also pretty wet. I had forgotten how much I enjoy the layout though. I have high hopes that new management can get it into tip top shape

Played 9 holes today. Beautiful course and layout, pretty short course. Lost at least 4 strokes on the greens cuz they were so slow thanks to the weather lately.

No course in south MS has been able to keep greens together with this weather. Played HCC as a par three yesterday passing through. Was pretty fun.

It’s in bad shape. I’d play somewhere else.

I played Quail Hallow the weekend of 8/2/19.
The course has had a lot of rain. The fairways are nice. The rough is thick. You can easily lose a ball in the rough if you dont pay attention.
The greens on the front nine are not good. There are lots of bare spots. The greens on the back nine were better, but still not great. All had been punched recently I think.
It is a great layout for $40. I really liked many of the holes. If the greens ever get in shape, it could be really nice.

Always liked that course. Played about a month ago and it was exactly like you stated. I wish they would sell it or give it the love it needs.
