Conservatives Using Govt to Ease Fears

By limiting freedoms and spending wastefully.
If you respond to this thread, I would like you to answer the following questions:
Were you for the signing of the Patriot Act by George W bush?
Were you for the wars in the Middle East?
If you were against those or learned your lesson afterwards, how are you so desperate to make the same mistakes all over again?
I just came from a thread where conservatives on this board want the government to step in and tell YouTube they can't censor conservative voices on their own private service.
I earlier came from a thread in which conservatives on this board are okay with Donald Trump declaring a national emergency by superseding normal checks and balances and using the power of eminent domain to seize private property, and all of this while immigration numbers have been going down for the last 20 years.
At what point do you learn your lesson and just admit but maybe you've been a little too fearful to think clearly. Maybe you can stop letting your emotions swiftly carry you to such knee-jerk reactions that don't help anyone.
When will you just admit that you've made terrible decisions instead of learning your lesson go right back to that same well?

So instead, we should fear cow farts and reliable transportation? Seems logical.

I would think the overall well-being of the Earth might be more constructive

Explain how this has come to pass and how many American lives it has cost us. Also tell me how much money. It's a pretty weak comparison that you're making

Confiscatory tax policies
They're called taxes. Almost everywhere in the world has them. But yeah somewhere near the Patriot Act.

It is though. None of your week examples have refuted what I said. Not only that but you didn't answer any of the original questions

Yes I was for it.. however I recall that you were against it, until Obama gave it steroids.

Were you for the wars in the Middle East?
Yes, the first gulf war to drive Iraq out of Kuwait.
I support pulling out of Afghanistan, and Syria.. why are democrats so willing to stay when they used to be the anti-war party?
Why were Schumer, and Pelosi willing to give way more than 5B for border walls when Obama was POTUS, yet nothing for Trump?
Why were democrats screaming think of the DACA children, yet put nothing in this spending bill to help?

What day do you want me to give you a response?
You always talk like you're better than everybody and you come off as pretentious yet you want people to acknowledge your shite thread. Don't act like a condescending a-hole perhaps?

Jesus you are so narcissistic and completely delusional. Did repubs make a mistake with Patriot Act? Yep. How many Dems voted for that too? Which president expanded it beyond anyone’s imagination that it took Wikileaks and a whistle blower to reveal it?
As for YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook with conservatives calling for the government to tell platforms that have monopolies on the new age of communication to quit censoring is now the brown shirts preventing discourse? Holy shite.
And yes people should make competing platforms but anything not censoring conservative views is lambasted as alt right and white supremisist by the digital and traditional media.
As for making bad decisions, when will progressives admit de-insentivising work and incentivizing procreation while lacking means to support offspring are terrible policies?

Conservatives are telling us what to eat? No meat?
Conservatives want to tell us we should accept criminals in our country?

As democrats want to continue wasting American lives and dollars in wars in ME with no end goals.
As one presidential candidate can not align eating of eggs with his spiritual outlook, while his party celebrates late term abortions.
As we are labeled racists and bigots for disagreeing with identity politics.
As democrats reach more towards goals of socialism.
K. Keep us posted.

you respond to this thread, I would like you to answer the following questions:
Nope. Or it's expansion bu Obama
Nope, nor their expansions by Obama.

He added more oversight but I agree he didn't do a good enough job. So are you saying you were for Obama re-signing it too?
quote:
Yes, the first gulf war to drive Iraq out of Kuwait.
It was to defend Saudi owned oil fields from the same guy Herbert Walker and Rumsfeld put into power in the first place. Yeah..still y'all.

I was asking about the initial decision to go in. It's kind of hard to pull out once you destabilize a region so badly that you need to stay just to make sure the transitions go smoothly. Still the fault of right-wing Republicans.
quote:
Why were Schumer, and Pelosi willing to give way more than 5B for border walls when Obama was POTUS, yet nothing for Trump?
Because Obama wasn't crying for a great border wall that was to span the length of the Southern border and he certainly wasn't accusing other fellow Democrats of being for open borders. Nevertheless, immigration numbers have been going down for 20 years straight. You guys acting like this is a crisis is just as much political football as Democrats not wanting to give Donald Trump what he wants.
quote:
Why were democrats screaming think of the DACA children, yet put nothing in this spending bill to help?
I don't know what you mean but Democrats have consistently been in the corner of those kids

I laughed so hard watching you get thrown out of the Trump Rally last night.

Modern liberals now support:
-A new Cold War with Russia.
-Troops in Syria.
-Troops in Afghanistan.
-Weaponizing FISA against political enemies.
-Prosecuting whistleblowers and actual adversarial journalists like Edward Snowden and Julian Assange.
-Fascist cretins like James Clapper and John Brennan.
-A special prosecutor with an unlimited scope and zero accountability.
-Criminalizing offensive speech.
There is no doubt which of the two parties is more authoritarian.
