Second Champagne region. Hard to beat for proximity to Paris and the Cathedral at Reims is a sight to see.
Could also head to Dijon for more of a gateway to red burgundy. But really French vineyards tend to, although this is changing, be less open to casual visitors than you may be accustomed to.
