Why would they stop? That car was probably 2 counties away before the cop could even turn on his lights.

This is true, but it's hard to outrun the radio.

Because very few cars could do 209 mph, so if the cop got the model and color it’s pretty damn easy to figure out who it was unless it’s a huge city or the person was from elsewhere and just passing through.

What I’ve done in a similar situation is take the next exit and pull off on the side of the exit ramp and turn the car off. It’s safer than pulling over on the side of the interstate and the chances of the police seeing me way down the exit ramp when he’s hauling arse trying to catch up are less than 50/50.
