Missed on every defensive line and trench guy we went for besides Ray Parker. Before the pumpers chime in and say what a “great class” it is, LSU board members need to make a mental note of this. No excuses for not signing depth and some of the higher end DL recruits while Bama, miss state, Auburn, and A&M all got better in the trenches - specially DL.

Yes this class is good, LSU will always sign a good class based on flagship school of Louisiana- sure get pissed about that if you want

And before you say we are waiting on these slew of 2020 DL guys, don’t count your chickens before they hatch, that’s foolish to put so much faith and stock into a 17 year old kid

Heed with caution on the Orgeron extension, for a guy who is suppose to be an ace recruiter - he dropped the ball on the most important needs in the trenches, no excuses

Btw - VolTiger is as big a homer and full of shite as DALSU, RandomLSUHero, and any other misinformed “insider” that has people on here duped - Bama insiders always know a shite ton more

Down vote away, but this recruiting class was another 29-0 defeat - yea I get we have a top 10 class, but look at Aggie and Bama and UGA

I think there's a typo in your thread title.

It should have been spelled "Paging Ree, Ben, p&g, and Roger".

LSU signed the #1 player out of Utah. He happens to be a DT and had an offer and was wanted by Alabama.

2018 was smoothed over by talking about the load of in state talent.

Fool me once shame on me...

I love that this is already the talking point.

I was told orgeron is the absolute best on the recruiting trail and kids and their parent loves him. Wouldn’t want them playing anywhere else.

That’s what tigerreebencoleman0’sleftnut says, anyway. Is tigerreebencoleman0’sleftnut spreading lies and propaganda to keep its gravy train alive and well with an extension? No way......

LSU's biggest needs were at RB and OL. Those needs were filled very well. But if you need something to melt about, then sure DL was our biggest need.

Parker is a TE/OT so I'm assuming you're including offensive linemen as trench guys. Isn't Thomas the #1 OG in the country or close to it? I'm not a recruiting expert.

If you thought that anyone on TD knew 100% what was going on with a recruit, that's your mistake and not anyone else's.

LSU’s biggest weaknesses in 2018 were RB and O line. LSU addressed both of those with this class.

Yes the d line class left a lot to be desired but you are ok there for 2019. They have to recruit better there next year. It looks like they can do it as it stands now but there is a long way to go before signing day.

Must win West to get any consideration of other than menial extension...will work for less if you believe past statements about his lifelong dream to be at LSU.

skeptic

Lol, your a toon.

What will be your reaction when Sopsher is a dud at Alabama?

VolTiger literally missed on 1 guy, Sopsher. The kid was a head case and lead both LSU and Alabama on until it was time to sign. I would love to know who your contact is for inside information.

Coach O is a d line coach and couldn't pick up dline recruits lol. You only give an extension if other teams want your coach real bad. I'm sure alleva and King don't even know what a defensive tackle is

Sophser was never coming to LSU, no matter who the coach is, he flat out said he will he only go to a school that offers his brother and we did that. Then what did he do? Went to a school that didn't offer his brother...

Everyone knew when we were lucky enough to get Corch Orgeron off the market that this was, at minimum, a four year rebuild.

That's just to be able to recruit with Bama. To compete and score on the Tide will be an extra two years.

6 year extension is needed. The 2020 class is already off the charts.
