Like everyone here, I am hoping O can break this cycle of Saban using recruits to toy with us.

Like everyone, I hope I am so wrong,

but as you say, this is following a very similar pattern, and we are falling for it again.

The only true way to break this cycle is for O to never over invest in a recruit and offer enough so that those that really want in, will sign in December. Holding spots for recruits that are choosing between us and Bama seems beyond ignorant at this point.... it's sooooo setting yourself up for failure.

Well... no. Saban disinformation routines are actually plausible.

This is a tigerdroppings disinformation ploy.

Because he can't sign today. It's freaking not allowed. He's 2020 class... he'll have to wait until signing period for the '20 class.

They never said "signing" today, right? I thought I heard he'd announce a commitment....

Either way, the bad guys seem to find a way to manipulate this kind of crap, every year.

I'd love to see it backfire on them. Maybe one day the powers that be will see fit to take a deeper look at their magic.

Best way we can reverse that trend and start winning some of those recruiting battles is to beat them on the field.
