That riff has me pumped more than it should

I'm hoping after the set this weekend we get at least one new song out there live. Can't wait

Downvoted, there's no Tool page on Spotify. They have the playlist page but that's been there. It's also just similar music.

yeah, I quite enjoyed 10,000 days. Was it as good as other stuff?
10,000 days is actually my favorite Tool album and I'm not embarrassed to admit it

10,000 days has grown on me substantially.

Lateralus is still my favorite but not by much.

10k is amazing

I initially loved it, then got sick of it. Then didn't like it much at all. Now I think it's pretty good but I still consider Lateralus and Aenima far superior albums.

Aenima > 10,000 Days > Opiate > Lateralus > Undertow

I just opened two tabs, one playing the descending clip, newest full band session of the riff Adam plays, and in the other tab put Adam's riff on repeat.

. My face is going to melt off when this comes out.

I'm going to mix them tomorrow morning and post it.

But in the mean time start playing this in one tab:

And this in another tab once the first video is at 2:33

Thank me later

This is from a shite YouTube mashup that I couldn't do half seconds in but it gives you the idea

Nah man, TOOL means different things for different folks. Everything on each album from the lyrics to the melodies means something different for each fan.

For me Lateralus is the best album.

For someone else it's 10k days. It's all good. All of their music is pretty fricking badass.

It's a testament to them as a band that so many of their songs hold up to this day, from Cold and Ugly and The Grudge to Pushit and Opiate.

Ae, 10k, and Lat are all interchangeable for me at #1

Maybe 10k as a 1b.

The Pot, Rosetta Stoned, Vicarious, Right in Two, and Wings for Marie are some incredible songs.

I had all the tool albums in high school and college and was a fan. Now I’m pushing 40 and they aren’t on Apple Music or Amazon Music. I don’t even have a CD player anymore. How am I supposed to continue my fandom when I can’t listen to their music? Not flaming, just curious as to why they do that.

I'm hopeful that they're going to be releasing their catalog for streaming when their new album comes out

I learned you can listen to it on YouTube. Not as user friendly but at least you can listen.

I have their CDs and I just imported them to iTunes and then synced them to my iPhone. I just use the built-in music app for TOOL and Spotify for everything else.

I would do that, but I just don't have any CDs anymore. I am not cheap, just don't want to buy CDs just so I can import them. Youtube works ok.

Just download them from somewhere illegal. It can’t be that hard and shouldn’t really be illegal if you already own it.
