They aren’t expanding the 210 bridge. They are just repaving it and adding new lights. That’s not building more infrastructure that’s just bullshitting.
They’re reconditioning the 210 bridge so it will be in tip top shape when they replace the I10 bridge.

These motherfrickers have not been to Westlake and lake Charles lately and saw me say how it’s worse than BR and got all offended so they had to come on here to say how I’m wrong.
Dude, I live in LC and my office is on Hwy 90 between Sulphur and Westlake. I go over each bridge at least once a day.

I believe part of that is going to widen the bridges or at least 2-10 bridge
Negative, at least not in the sense of adding lanes. Main purpose of project is to re-deck the main span per inspection concerns. They’re doing the other bells and whistles (lighting, guardrails, inspection platforms) while the frickery is underway.
Lighting will be lagniappe. Guardrails, however, are much needed. Years ago, Dad and I were behind a bright red Ford Ranger that hydroplaned coming down the eastbound curve. I remember that truck looking like a pinball bouncing off the concrete on both sides of the bridge. We (I’m talking fricking BARELY) missed t-boning this guy as he bounced from right side concrete to left.

This thread is five pages of you being wrong about shite.
Don’t make me have them add a Sonic at the top of the bridge mother fricker.

If they build a sonic it would take another 10 years and back traffic up to the state line. Your old arse would be dead by then of old age

Lake Charles sucks and so do you for living there

Alright, ran some errands today. I went from University neighborhood > Walgreens on 18th > Office Depot > Sam's > Lowe's > pick up Tony's to go > back home with my wife and kids. In all it took us from 10:50 AM to 1:00 PM. No way that would have been possible with BR traffic.

Then you don't live 10 minutes from work
Without traffic or during no -commute times it is around 6 miles and 10-12 min. But during commuting times during the week it is 45-1.5 hours. In the morning commute times go from 4:45-6:45 and in the evening it’s from 3:30-6.
There is no way people that live in LC can admit there isn’t terrible traffic. The infrastructure here is not made for these two huge mega (Sasol and Cameron LNG) projects.
And there are 2+ more mega projects in the works so I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon.

Seriously, why are the areas west of sulphur like vinton not growing? Everyone has to cross that bridge and live in lake Charles or what? I always ask the same about WBR.

Every single day. And into westlake too. Luckily I can leave before Sasol lets out most days.
Yea I live in Westlake and am able to get around it. But at 430-630 literally I-10 is backed up to 210, 210 is backed up to sulphur, to get out of Westlake to I10 is backed up 3-4 miles to almost McDonald's then to go to moss bluff is backed up for 5+ miles past the baseball fields in every direction. It is nuts.
Hey 27 north is a cluster at Houston river. Pete manena is fricked with Lotte, hey 27s is screwed with Cameron lng traffic etc
If you know what you are doing you can get around a lot of it but people just coming through are fricked.
If you just stay in LC not bad at all, or if you go different times it's not bad. I-10 is not always bad but usually is.

I don’t know what I’m talking about because I said lake Charles sucks?
How does one know if it does or doesn’t suck?
Btw, it fricking blows.

From BR and have been working in LC for over two years. Give me LC all day every day. I live off of 210 and work in Westlake and it takes me 20 minutes or so in morning and 30 minutes or so in the evening to get home during the week, Saturdays and Sundays are a breeze, just gotta know where to go to get around it.
