Non physicians can now give abortions in new york

With the passing of the reproductive health act in New York, non physicians can now perform abortions. I thought the goal of allowing abortions and of funding planned parenthood was to enable women to have abortions in a safe and professional place instead of getting them done in a back alley somewhere with a coat hanger. How does allowing non physicians (whatever that means) to perform abortions help prevent women from being exposed to unsafe situations and unsanitary situations? Seems to me that the goal isn’t women’s safety at all. What day you?

Agree with your entire post.
Good thing we are keeping women safe by not forcing them to go to back alley doctors to risk their lives. Nothing screams safety like a non-doctor doing anything inside a body.

It’s amazing isn’t it. Their entire narrative is that abortions are for the safety of the woman, yet they then pull something like this.
Even a socialist liberal has to ask themselves, what is the goal here?
But I know damn well that a liberal will soon see this post and will defend it as being a good choice, or that I simply don’t understand because I’m not a woman.
I don’t care about their opinions though, I just wish they’d understand how hypocritical they look.

I wasn’t suggesting that it would be an alley, I am asking what that alternative would be? And I can not think of an alternative that would somehow manage to maintain the safety and sanitary conditions of a physicians office.

I haven’t read the whole thing, but I have read some and have talked to healthcare professionals who have said that what this will do is produce situations similar to what we saw with Kermit Gosnell’s buther office (abortion clinic). This is truly some Sodom and Gomorrah level bad. I have no idea how people support this level of evil.
