Long time reader of the Rant , first time posting so go easy.
My thought is if we miss on the DL guys we really want and need then why just sign project guys when we can just sign more next year since the 2020 class should be heavy on DL. I understand we need more depth but I'd rather do like Bama did this year and sign 7-9 guys next year.

Need bodies on DL, but yes it’s a good idea

People said the same thing last year and LSU got Cole Tracy and Joe Burrow to transfer. Those were pretty good additions.

Shea stated awhile back that the plan is if we miss on Sopsher to save the spot for a JUCO guy

This was the year we’ve been waiting for. We were supposed to clean up. If talent is there now take it.

If we fail to fill all spots with who we're actually after, I've got no problem with saving spots.
We can always use them on a juco or grad transfer, or just save them for next year when the in-state talent pool is just filthy.

You don’t know how this works.
If you have five spots open, you make 5 TEs say no.

If we finish the way we're hoping, we'll get to 25.

When is the last time we finished the way we were hoping?

Don't disagree, but just pointing out we're aiming to fill all spots.

Great, he and family loved it, but MsState sort of has them by the balls at this point. Don't expect him to flip.

Vol, with Rodney getting reclassified, do you think that pretty much seals the deal with Ish to Bama? Also, who are we pressing hardest for out of Young, Fuller, Moore, Harrison-Hunte? Thanks

Every year we get some "project" guys. Debo Jones, Foster Moreau, and Duke Riley are three recent ones. They are also three reasons why you should fill THIS class.
Oh, Cushenberry is another.

and Russell Gage - the "last guy in" crew has been great to LSU the last few years
