easy to say when lashing out doesn't hit your pocket book for 6 figures
Publicly bashing them won't change the outcome one bit and it'll only cost you a lot of money.
I think guys should be able to openly criticize NFL officials without fine because those guys are paid professionals but that's a different argument

it's actually not a different argument. These refs being immune to backlash from the people they directly affect is, in my opinion, part of the reason they fricking suck so bad.
And if they are crooked, this setup enables it. You can be crooked when no one with any clout is allowed to call you on your crookedness.
