NOLA.com
obviously, Bill Vinovich wouldn't have seen the play live b/c it wasn't in his "area" (the referee is responsible for the QB & line)
but you'd think he'd have gotten word about the controversy and would've wanted to take a look at it before leaving the stadium

Below is a transcript of the pool report with referee Bill Vinovich from the NFC Championship game between the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Rams regarding the no-call. The Pool Reporter in attendance was Amie Just of NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune.
Q: What was the reasoning for no penalty flag being thrown on the play involving Drew Brees’ pass attempt to Tommylee Lewis (defended by Nickell Robey-Coleman with 1:49 to play)?
BV: “It’s a judgment call by the officials. I personally have not seen the play.”
Q: Did the timing in the game have any impact on a no-call there?
BV: “Absolutely not.”
Q: You said you didn’t see the play, correct?
BV: “Correct.”
Q: In this situation, is the play subject to an instant replay review?
BV: “It’s not a reviewable play.”

Just look at the Jumbotron mother fricker
Posted on 1/20/19 at 7:41 pm to rt3
He avoided any responsibility while putting it entirely on the one guy who missed it. Him not defending a crew mate speaks volumes IMO

The crew better be suspended. If not, the NFL is dirty as hell. Might as well be a Saturday morning wrasslin show.

Fans in the stadium should’ve ran the mother fricker out on a rail...

Here you go.

Why was the official so far off of the field? Is that normal? It looked like he came out from behind the photographers on the sideline.
I think it was rigged. If it's close make sure LA wins.

Sunday already was a bit of a perfect storm. Vinovich's regular-season crew threw the fewest flags per game (13.1) in the NFL, and generally speaking, postseason crews tend to allow much more physical play in the defensive backfield. Chances are that this type of situation wouldn't arise as much as traditionalists might fear.

I would have at least been curious about why the fans were screaming and booing and Sean Payton was raising hell.
But that's just me.
