Shooting another human being is a traumatizing, life changing experience for anyone who isn’t a sociopath. There’s nothing glorious about it and, though sometimes necessary, is something nobody ever wants to have to do.

The people who fantasize about it are not the type of people who would be doing it to defend their homes. They’re the ones doing the invading.
