I already have. Regardless of merit you can’t give in to Trump when he’s holding 800k people’s livelihoods hostage or he’ll just do this over and over again. You can compromise but it can’t be for the full 5.7.

If I worked for an employer and that employer shut down, I wouldn’t say the employer was holding me hostage. I’d get another job.

5.7 is the compromised number.....I can't wait til he goes national emergency for the whole 20 bil and constructs a beautiful concrete wall with anti tunnel pylons.

While I sympathize for the federal workers financial situation, it's crazy for that to be the priority here. The federal government's role and purpose is not to employ people.

It's less than 1/2 of 1 percent of the yearly budget for an issue that the president ran on. It's a very reasonable request to fulfill for congress to pass its budget.

You guys who think the democrats aren't going to lose this PR battle are ridiculously naive, IMO.
