What would y’all think about moving Divinity to MLB and keeping Queen outside at F-LB? The only reason I bring this up is because Divinity was amazing this year when Chaisson went down and the F-LB is only on the field about 30% of the game since we normally play an extra safety. I just think Divinity is too valuable to our defense to come off the field that much so what about having him play inside? He started out inside when he got to LSU. Thoughts?

Queen steps into Phillips spot as he steps into whites. Divinity will be the starter at Field but will also be moved around on the majority of plays that only have two LBs on the field. Which is at least statistic wise our "base" or normal defensive look. We spend so much time in the 3 cornerback look that the staff will be forced to put Divinity in other roles on those downs when outside of the true 3-4 base look that occurs on first down on most series and expands to second a handful of Times during the game.

Dude. Let it rest.
The coaches will do what is best. Football is over for a long time.

Save your brain cells. Do something else.

I thought you meant Major League Baseball. Just when we (mostly) survived the NFL draft defections.

I’ll call Aranda right now and tell him your idea. He’ll probably go for it since he has no idea what player fits best at a given position.

Wow sorry for the misleading title I didn’t think it was that big of a deal though. Some people on here it seems just enjoy being rude to others when they bring an idea that they may not agree with.

Divinity was a non factor on the inside previously. He looked much more natural outside esp rushing the passer

Queen will own that position. Y’all need to just freaking stop. He is the best LB on the team from an intellect and speed perspective. He will be 240+ by the first game and y’all will be still chomping at the bit to get him out.
He is an EXCELLENT LB. Aranda with him will be deadly. People forget that he was also a running back and a damn good one as well.

I'll sit back the next several months and let Aranda decide how to run his defense at linebackers.

I think Divinity stays where he is, but he does not leave the field in many passing formations. Aranda will devise defenses that will get his best talent on the field. Divinity and Chasson will be rushing the passer as bookends next year. And each will drop into coverage a lot.

I don’t think Divinity came back for his senior season so he could switch positions

I think with the absence of White and Williams, and Chaisson stepping back in, we could see Divinity playing multiple positions this next year, kind of like how (i think it was philips or stevens) did this year. overall, our defense should still be spectacular next year no matter the circumstance, and I trust the coaches to put Divinity (and the rest of the players) in the best position to succeed.
