I don't even know why I'm discussing this with you, Mr "Ensminger's not going to be the OC."

You're the worst when it comes to evaluating these situations.

White and Mills were recruited by Cooper too. Both committed to LSU before Raymond got here.

Raymond was hired 02/28/2012. White committed 02/04/2012.

Same with Mills. Mills actually signed before Raymond was ever hired.

SO, like I said, the majority were either coached or recruited by Cooper, not Raymond. Sure I don't want Raymond to leave, but we will be fine if he does all the same.

And the "DBU moniker" predated Raymond. So no he did not help build it, he helped sustain it.

You seem like a weak person. If you think you are worth more money, then make your case based on your merits. Don’t piggy back on another man’s negotiations.

You're the one who immediately assumed he was under appreciated.
It seems most people here understand how these things work better than you

He's doing double time at LSU. It's rare to get a coach who's an elite recruiter and a VERY GOOD coach. He should be the highest paid coach because he's arguably the best one right now in NCAA so if you have to give him a little more what's it going to hurt LSU? They had no trouble inflating that DC market for Aranda because a guy like Robinson or Sullivan being paid more than him is sad. I don't care if it's market value or not. What's a few 100k more to LSU?

He's the highest paid DB coach in the NCAA already. You say this like he's been low-balled on his salary. If he's the highest paid at his job in the country, I'd say LSU has paid him appropriately.

Both spent their entire LSU careers being coached by Raymond.

ETA: You're giving Cooper credit for Patrick Peterson, who had played a full season at LSU before Cooper arrived. You can't have it both ways.

DBU became popular with Patrick Peterson in 2009/2010 and then the stacked secondary in 2011.

That's a very logical assumption for someone that's interviewing for another job position. Most times they're dissatisfied with their current job for whatever reason.

The fact that you find that train of thought perplexing is not surprising at all though.

ok? When did I say otherwise. You tried to argue with my post. However, nothing in my initial post was wrong. Sorry if that went over your head.

exactly, so it predated Raymond, like I said.

Anything else?

When did I give him credit for PP? I said Raymond did not coach him. Where did I say Cooper recruited and developed Peterson? Thanks

I don’t think anyone is arguing with you.

Why don’t you give LSU a chance to answer?

Sometimes it takes an interview to get the wheels rolling. We already know Alleva shut down the idea of hiring Adam Henry last year because of money

So Les felt unappreciated every time he leveraged for more money?

You give Cooper credit for Patrick Peterson, but Raymond doesn't get credit for Mills and White?

That makes zero sense.

Well, when you look at the other coaches on the staff I'd feel disrespected too. Doesn't matter what his market value is or where he's in it. Make him happy. That's what matters. I'm willing to bet money Georgia or another program would love to have his services to pay more than LSU.

I doubt he's demanding something ridiculous.

No

It's a delusional assumption by extremely negative people who cannot possibly view the world without the sky falling.

Raymond leaves only for more money or a better career path.

Les Miles showed everyone how this game is played. Multiple times.
