Has a WR ever carried his team to a championship?

I know--Jerry Rice, but he was also surrounded by HOF talent and they won 2 titles without him.

The only other closest I can think of off the top of my head is Larry Fitzgerald in 2008.

He had Kurt Warner throwing to him.

And they didn't win.

Dont think football is a sport where one player can carry a team. Doesnt matter how good they are.

Basketball is the only sport that ive seen where one player can carry a team. Like lebron last year carrying the cavs to the finals.

I was gonna say Julio Jones but then I remembered they blew that 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl.

Come on bro they beat the pacers and the Celtics with like 3 starters out. this is what I like to call carrying a team::

James Harden has hit at least five 3s in his 12th straight game. (Second longest such streak in NBA history: Stephen Curry at seven games.) Took Harden all of 11 minutes vs. Cavs.

James Harden and Kobe Bryant are the only players since 1976-77 to average 40 points in a 15-game span. His 40-point triple double was his third in the past six games. His 12-consecutive games with at least 5 3s is five games longer than the next-best streak in league history.

In all seriousness, I guess by “carried” we’re saying “the team isn’t there without X player”...there are probably some but it’s tough to prove. Maybe Rice the year they beat the Bengals?

Wouldn’t mind seeing him hang em up and focus on his movies. His title winning days are done.

There’s also Moss the year the Pats lost to the Giants. He wrecked the league that year and caught what should have been the TD that sealed the SB win.

Nope. Name the last Superbowl champ with a diva WR or even a what we consider a dominant WR.

LOl that team was all about Brady.

WR is not a position that someone can put a team on their back.

And if lebron wasnt on that cavs team then they wouldve gotten embarrassed by both of those teams.

I remember when Wade/Bosh tried to carry Lebron in the 2011 Finals, he just quit though.

I understand. But he was 30-546-7 in the 2008 postseason. I don’t even think Rice or Moss ever came close to hitting those marks in a single postseason.
