For my 52 trips around the sun, black, gray, or blue have been paired with black shoes. Seemingly overnight, about five or eight years ago, blue clothing with brown shoes have become the norm. I like both, to be honest.
But gray? Even with blue, it seems that black shoes would be more customary.

It's actually a classic look when it comes to suits.

This change was more like 15 years ago, it just took a while for a certain crowd (the "anything but a navy or gray suit with black shoes looks unprofessional" crowd) to accept it. Brown and charcoal has always been fine.
OP, ditch the shirt. your jacket, navy pants and brown shoes will be fine, but you need a lighter shirt.
