Trump probably doesn't care about orientation -- I agree.

And while the Republican party is the home of Evangelicals, they simply don't have the power overturn a SCOTUS ruling alone -- it's a difficult process that would require all Republicans and some Democrats to join, and that's just not happening. With something like gay marriage, I don't even think all Republicans would join any effort to overturn the SCOTUS ruling. Enough of them have learned it's a losing issue for them.

My point was more that despite what some very vocal LGBT idiots scream, this administration is not anti-gay and it is not a threat to me or my freedoms as a gay man, but the same cannot be said about what is actually happening in Muslim run countries. Why the majority of gays won't acknowledge that flummoxes me.

Another aspect is evangelicals aren't 100% anti-gay and that number falls every year (thankfully). And among those who are, fewer and fewer are willing to stake a political position on it anymore (again, thankfully).
