No thank you.
Whatever’s in that stuff turns off the ambition and drive of a good percentage of the users.
There are always exceptions of course but the “stoners” crowd was always pretty lazy.

Every word of this is true but do you really want untold millions of tax dollars going to harrass and jail/supervise harmless idiots? Which is the bigger drain on society: a person with great potential working a deadend job and spending his free time eating Cheetos and watching cartoons or a militarized small town police force dedicated to "serving and protecting" his lazy arse straight to jail?
And most pot users are capable of using it occassionally. Let the burnouts carry the weight of their decisions without corrupting law enforcement with drug enforcement powers and riches. Most of the burnouts do seem happy with the Cheetos and the cartoons.

I think people in the "stoner crowd" were going to be lazy whether their drug of choice was Xbox or weed.
I'm an attorney and I can tell you that there are plenty of attorneys that regularly smoke weed with no affect on their work or life. The number is much larger than would qualify as the "exception."
Lazy people are lazy and driven people are driven, whether or not they smoke weed.

So you think that the government should be able to tell people what they can and cannot do based on a subjective observation?
