They love to mention the other pros on simmons' team yet they dont blame them or the coach. Its always," frick simmons, he couldn't overcome headcase teammates, losing our only spot up shooter and a coach that did zero coaching".

Lol that’s completely false, the NCAA tourney has been recognized as the national title tourney since the mid 50s. Pete Maravich never participated in the NCAA tournament which was the national championship tourney when he was at LSU. Pistol Pete made the final 4, Lol you guys will say anything

It’s the usual Rant nonsense, a couple people create this narrative then a group who doesn’t even watch or know what happened repeat it then the miserables and ignorants start chanting it and there you have it. Notice all the facts are wrong and all the stories are fake, madeup or twisted. Same thing happened with Etlings “noodle arm” or “Canada causes trouble everywhere he goes” It’s just completely made up by Rantards.

Pete Maravich never quit on his team. LSU turned down a postseason tournament that season to avoid the embarrassment of playing in one without Ben Simmons.

So are you embarrassed when we play in bowl games that players sit out of? Blaming a player for Johnny Jones trying to save his job by pulling a cowardly classless stunt is pretty sad. If he’dve been blown out again without Simmons he’dve been fired, that’s why we turned down the invite.

I never said otherwise. I merely said the NIT was a much more legit tourney in the past, which is absolutely correct, and any basketball fan understands this.

In 1970, when Pete led LSU to the NIT Final Four, there were only 25 teams in the NCAA Tournament, and 16 in the NIT.

Why? We had all these other pros and in your mind Simmons was the problem right?

Amazing how when players sit out a NY6 bowl it’s ok but Simmons didn’t want to play in the fricking NIT and he’s a traitor and quit in his team lol. The team was run like a pickup squad and he wasn’t going to stick around and risk injury to deal with a mess. Jones throwing him under the bus and blaming him for not going to the NIT is a joke.

I’m not sure why, but a number of NBA analysts say the 76rs will never win unless they trade Simmons...

If Simmons was the problem,as the nut jobs claim, wouldn't leaving him at home, cure the problem?
Why didn't Johnny take his band of abused players to NY and expose the problem?

Jones was the problem.
The team needed a good coach,

As good as Simmons is, he could be much better. He doesn't play on both ends, he can't shoot and he has no go to game.

He plays in the NBA like he played at LSU, but he could be better if he had the drive.

Personally I don't understand the fascination with his association with LSU which amounted to dropping by for a cup of coffee. I don't think he gives much thought to being at LSU or identifies as being a Tiger.
LSU was a marginal team during his year and would have been awful without him but so what?
There is no halo effect from Simmons year in Baton Rouge. It didn't raise the stature of the program.
He's a rare talent. Agreed
He loves LSU. Not so much

I think you hit the nail on the head of why many LSU fans don't like him. Pretty sure Simmons doesn't give a flying frick about LSU so why should we care about him? He would have never come to LSU had he been able to go pro. And when he did come to LSU, I heard he hated it. Has he ever been back?

And no he did not turn the program around.

I will give you that. JJ didn't develop Simmons at all. And the team suffered because he let Simmons do whatever he wanted.

Go check out the tx am game. Or several others. You aint a die hard. We watched him suck arse. Jarrel Martin was a winner with almost equal stats. And he sacrifieced extra stats for wins. Mickey sacrificed stats for wins. And we won with unselfish basketball.

BS couldnt even pick his position. #primadonna.

Guess what NBA is learning the same thing now. Wake up. The entire NBA knows how retarded it is that BS wont shoot. If youre a philly fan be prepared to get your arse kicked in the playoffs again, thanks to BS. And while it happens he’s going to quit on your team. Then in a few years he’ll leave you to go play with Lebron and blame everything on your organization. Just like he did LSU! Lol.

PS, philly traded for Butler for a reason. BS is a dick, now embiid is malcontent, and Butler. Lol

Exactly

Letting cameras follow Simmons around like they did should never have been allowed.

That team had talent but no boss, and no one to coach the players up and push them.
