Why is that? I think it points to the issue of teams overpaying middle of the road QBs. Very very few QBs are worth that much money. All of these teams would probably be better off using all that cap space to be better at other positions, while finding a cheaper option at QB who will just do slightly worse than what they already have.

Stop paying QBs so much that aren’t worth it. Only Rodgers in that group is a top 6 QB for sure. Jimmy G could be. The rest are not. Teams waste a lot of money on average and above average QBs. If your QB isn’t elite, don’t pay them elite money

All clearly better than Ryan. Yes I left Brady out, he’s nearing the end. Yes Rodgers has had a down season, he’s been injured all year, I think they’ll be better next year. Ryan is empty stats minus one single year. Joe Flacco had one great year too. Not an elite QB

Brees has had multiple great years, statistically and in win totals and playoff performances. Matt Ryan hasn’t. He’s put up empty stats all but one year. Nice try though
You earn top QB status, and you can be projected to be a top QB. Mahomes is projected, he hasn’t proven he won’t be yet. Brees has earned top QB status. Ryan has had enough down years to prove he’s not a top QB

Its a dumb stat because it’s misleading. PMT nailed this today.. Cousins, Stafford, and Carr are overpaid. Yes. But Drew Brees and Andrew Luck made the playoffs. They make essentially the same money as Derek Carr. So let’s not pretend like it’s impossible to assemble a playoff caliber team with a QB making mid $20M.

Stop being ridiculous. Ryan has had a better 3 year stretch than big Ben, Goff, luck, rivers, Wilson.
Maybe long term you'd take luck and Wilson, but at this moment he's better than them. Easy to hate on Falcons, but Ryan is a near elite qb

are def qbs I would take over Ryan

Falcons were 11-5 his Rookie year. He had solid records his first 5 years. Then they were bad to average for a few and then he went to the Superbowl.
2008: 11-5
2009: 9-7
2010: 13-3
2011: 10-6
2012: 13-3
2013: 4-12
2014: 6-10
2015: 8-8
2016: 11-5 (Lost Superbowl)
2017: 10-6
2018: 7-9
10 win seasons 6/11 years. Made the playoffs 6/11 years. .500 or higher 8/11 seasons.
