Randy Shannon is a moron.

If an NFL player refuses to play you don’t pay them their game check.

What about the ones that fake injuries to get out of the game. Booger McFarland suggested that he was one such player in the NFL.

So I guess No one in the NFL has performance based incentives they might need to hit at the end of the year.

The NFL is a business.

If teams care about players faking injuries at the end of season they’ll figure it out, but they have million dollar doctors so determine this stuff

JMO. You get the best training, best doctors, best exposure, best meals, and a free college education for playing a game. The school and the coaches are responsible for your success.........PLAY THE LAST GAME IF YOUR HEALTHY.

Or they could just do everything that they could to prevent getting those type of players in the first place based on early indicators, like bowl skippers.

Time will tell.

NFL players get a game check. They get paid to play each game, so I doubt they would forfeit that

yeah NFL players go all out bc they're getting paid, they don't take plays off. Contract year effort is just a coincidence

so you’re against a professional business incentivizing their employees?

Can you point to anyone faking injuries?

Can you?

You are full of shite

Randy Shannon is a moron.

Also, do you think owners care about wins once they are out of the playoffs?

Once you’re eliminated to wins help or hurt your team?

They get traded or waived and their rep follows them. Coaches and GMs talk. That kind of rep ends in a short career.

If I was a junior in college and a company in the profession I was preparing for came to me and said if you come work for us now we will pay you 20 million, that might be on the table later but it's not guaranteed, I'd wouldn't think twice about taking the job. Not sure why anyone would feel different.

Yes, I can. Freaking booger McFarland said it himself on the SEC network with regards to if he was on a team that was still playing, but not for the championship.

He made the statement in 3Q 2017.

Did booger say he faked injuries or he would...

Because those are 2 different things.

He also played 16 games for a 7-9 Buccaneers.

He’s a talking head. His job it to start discussions.

How is it not? It's the same thing that is happening with these players?

What would you do for your family vs what would you do for your team? Easy answer in my opinion.

There’s a very prominent former NFL player from an SEC school that shows up in our court every couple of months for failure to pay child support. Most recently he had withdrawn 400k from his kids’ college savings account and spent it. Sadly, many of these guys are simply just selfish, regardless of the words that come out of their mouths saying they’re trying to provide for their families.

Dumb statement

But

Coaches and GMs sit players all the time at the end of the year when nothing is to be gained

Just look at this year

Saints are sitting Brees for the greater good

NYG is sitting OBJ because nothing to be gained but can get hurt worse

When nothing is being gain nobody plays
