I’ve hunted with cabelas nylon waders for 3 years and they finally gave out. Moderate leak on both sides. Looking for an alternative nylon wader. Ok with insulated boot but otherwise no insulation. Cost isn’t an issue but at the same time don’t believe in throwing money out of the window for expensive waders that won’t last several years. Verdict still out on Sitka. Simms overpriced for their durability based on my research.

I looked at a pair of Drake guardian elites at Mack’s and they seemed like they would be a good pair of waders. But don’t know anyone who has a pair so can’t comment on durability.

This is the kind of hard-hitting info that makes this such a great board.

Hey, I do what I can.

I actually have a pair of Lacrosse brush tuff waders that I have had for 10 years with zero problems. But this board does not like Lacrosse waders for some reason so I kept that to myself.

I like the Lacrosse I have, but they're neoprene. Picked up a pair of breathable Mack's Prairie Wing brand ones from FieldSupply...will not be putting the neoprene Lacrosse back on

Not exactly what you are asking for but I have the Roger's 3in1 breathable waders and so far they are awesome. They have zip interchangeable insulation. No insulation, medium insulation, and heavy insulation so I can use them all year and even when we go up north. Very comfortable too.

They're $900. Anyone who pays that much for waders is an idiot.

I’d like to know too I have a pair of off brand I bought from Dicks 8 years ago and they leaked yesterday. Sat with the wet arse all morning, glad it wasn’t too cold or I’d have been miserable.

Agreed. But I guess the same could be said for folks paying $3-400 and needing a new pair every year cause they leak. I'd spend $900 if it meant never having to buy another pair.

I have LaCrosse neoprene. They work well for me but certainly are heavier and less mobile than the breathable.

This idiot bought Sitka and have no regret. I can layer up as much or little as I want depending on the temp and if there are any issues I can send them back for repair.
So far I have stayed dry and never too hot, and seem durable (hunting both timber and marsh).

Plus they match my boat ??

Lacrosse swamptuff waders, heavy boots, thick neoprene. They were awesome last yr when it was frozen and they are good waders. But reeaally need a pair of breathable for this yr...if any ducks show up in NELA.

I bought Drake breathable waders last year. Higher than giraffes pussy but they’re great. Feels like your wearing clothes instead of waders.

Have worn cabelas dry plus for many years with great luck. When latest pair finally got beyond patching, tried a set of Gator waist high waders this season. Nearly identical to old cabelas....reinforced breathable material, but includes outside pockets, these particular ones only waist high....can’t recommend enough. Call them to describe your build to make sure you get the sizing right, I got “tall” (6’3” but slim).

THIS

Ive had Academy brand neoprene waders for 4 years now, and i still have zero complaints. They are warm, not too heavy, and best of all, i got them for $89.99.
