How much do they usually go for a piece? and how soon after you put them out should you go back with your dog?
I’ve heard only a few hours as predators find them fairly quickly.

They usually put out night boxes and most of the ones that don’t get shot go into the boxes

Depends on the place you are hunting. Low-end places are around $150 for 10 birds with a couple of hour hunt. Nicer places, with larger fields, cost more. Guided is more expensive than self-guided. Lots of options out there, more so outside of Louisiana...

Do they clip their wings to prevent them from flying away?

Wayne Thornhill in Jayess Ms (just north of Tylertown) puts on as good or better shoot than anybody, not the fancy lodge experience, but always has great birds, he uses Georgia Giants which are about twice the size of the typical northerners , great dogs, brushed up and lightly wooded fields that offer great shooting situations and he has your birds cleaned for you all included in the price of $10/ bird
