It took a lot of guts to pull the plug on troops in Syria. It is a helpless situation and a mere 2,000 troops there does nothing to affect the outcome either way. Having only 2,000 troops there only increases the chances of getting Americans killed in some type of combat support role. Not worth it.
You have to be all in or all out. History has taught us this with war. Also, while we are withdrawing ground troops, this does not mean that we are withdrawing our combat air support or other methods of support for the Kurds altogether. With a clear channel of communication, we should be able to help them out enough for them to remain stable. If they can’t hold there water after 2,000 American troops leave, then clearly they will never be able to and the situation was doomed from the start.
At some point, these people have to defend themselves without us having to have troops on the ground permanently.

I agree completely. Trump decimated ISIS' landholdings and then pulled the troops. They should not have been there in the first place, but Trump's leadership helped the region fight radical Islam and was effective in doing so.

Meanwhile Russia and Iran now can do whatever they want. Funny how every “political” move Trump makes helps the Russians. Hmmmm

In this case it's more to help him distract the public from revelations of his criminal misconduct. It just has the added benefit (for him) of helping his daddy Vlad out.

What is about birds of a feather...
... or being able to tell by the friends you keep?
If you choose to believe his Highness, he's called Putin, Erdogan, and Rocket Man just that. So who does that leave porn stars, gold diggers, bankruptcy lawyers, and you.
(F'him - the truth is he was only seriously considered by the majority because of the dreaded-bitch they ran against him... so it was a win by default... regardless what this board chooses to believe.. He had no mandate and he's way confused, it was the will of most people to simply not let her win. /// eta: three in the AM is when old men get up to pee; isn't it time for the drunks to go to bed (junior).

So for the record, you are IN FAVOR of US fighting other countries wars for them for free?
Were you this much in favor of invading Iraq and Afghanistan?

Nope we should get something for what we've done there... not leave it all behind. Plus when you fight with a man, and he has your back, you owe him more than to cut and run.
He's bowed down to Russia - And strengthened Islamic Terrorist - Both at the same damn moment in time.

What are we getting from Syria? That war is to destabilize one of the last countries that's not part of the centralized banking system and the one country standing in the way of EU getting an oil pipeline from ME. You are ignorant/naive to think that this was anything other than the US warmongers fighting for kickbacks.

Afghanistan - what are they doing for us? They have no natural exports outside of drugs... Why are we there? Are we pulling out to help Russia?

You really think any of the countries we've been fighting in will ever be allies?
Your distaste for the man is seriously impeding your ability to think rationally about this.
Last question because I dont see us ever getting on the same page. Are you a veteran? If not, stfu about sending our boys to fight and die in wars that do not benefit us here.

Well said Tader.
By the way, its not pulling out of WW2, its 2 friggin thousand troops, news flash folks, WE ALREADY LEFT. This is just more propaganda for the msm.
And Trump has been tougher on russia with sanctions than the previous adm by far, why does every decision he make somehow benefit mother russia? Its petty and childish, and our board should be better than such drivel.

My question back to you is are you in favor of letting Islamic terrorists have free reign in countries... building up armies of radicals to attack the US and our interests? Don’t you realize part of the reason We are there is to control the situation. It’s called national security and in today’s age national security means spreading out internationally. Don’t be naïve to think that Russia and Iran would love nothing more than to attack US interests globally. Study your history and I’ll show you the last time that the US was an isolationist WW2 started. You have to live in today and in today’s age you have to fight terrorism around the world in order to keep people at home safe. It’s just a fact!

You are an utter moron. Our allies in Syria are the very Islamic radicals you claim we need to eradicate. The powers that be want us in Syria for one reason: topple Assad so that Hezbollah will be weakened. And we're doing this not for our own benefit, but for the benefit of Saudi Arabia and Israel. Our troops should not be mercenaries used to fight wars for the benefit of other countries.

How much foreign travel have you done? The guys that are these radical terrorist legit cant read. Couldn't leave their own country if they wanted to, much less make it over here.
9/11 was an organized attack from a government. Big money in war, so I'll let you connect the dots there with some critical thinking.
Russia and China are hands down a lot more intolerant of Islam because they don't succumb to globalism wanting to be tolerant of all religions.
Much like the "war on drugs" the "war on terror" is nothing more than spending trillions of dollars to fight the boogey man under "muh terrorist" label.
Go research how much money we've spent to date and who all has benefited. There's plenty of evidence and not a bad payoff for flying some planes into buildings.
