With the dive but without the stretch, he would have been really close to the first down. Tommylee saw the goal line, and got reckless. The play was fine.

I would contend it was executed almost perfectly until the very end and that even then, the play execution is really a different thing that a player trying to stretch a play and losing the ball in the process.

I don't argue with the play call. It was creative and deceptive.
