Flu shot doesn’t protect against every flu strain
Flu shot takes 2 weeks to provide immunity so if you are exposed to flu in those 2 weeks you have no protection
Flu shot isn’t 100% effective but even if you still get flu....higher chance you have a less severe version of it than if you didn’t get flu shot

The only thing I will add to this is don’t try to give him a cold bath. That is an emergency solution because it is dangerous. If the fever breaks 104, contact a physician immediately. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with lukewarm bathes and continuing Tylenol and Motrin. The meds can be given per bottles instructions for several days. Push fluids. Dehydration is a serious issue for kids. Good luck.

Oh yeah, Don’t bundle the kid up in 7 blankets.

Yeah I know it doesn't add up, I thought he had strep or something else but he tested positive for flu.
