Baker is a phenomenal talent but I still think Greedy is a better DB. Anyone think Baker being a senior and not skipping the bowl helped him win?

I think it did. Chris Fowler even mentioned when he presented Baker with the trophy. Not to say that Baker didn’t deserve it

FYI in his interview after on stage he was specifically asked why he WASNT skipping the bowl game.
ETA: not saying it factored in...but did think it was pretty coincidental

No he’s a really good player and was on a better team. Those votes were in before greedy announced he was skipping the bowl game.

I think Baker just had a better year. He was absolutely lock down. If Greedy makes the play to end the A&M game in regulation he probably wins it.

I wanted Greedy to win until I heard Bakers explanation for playing in the bowl game. Kinda glad Greedy didn’t win now.

All three of the finalists are quality DB's. They will all make big jack come draft day. The trophy won't make much, if any difference.

I hate when our fans get offended when a player nominated for an award doesn't win it or a player isn't an all-american as if other teams don't have great players too. Baker was likely the favorite for this award if anyone paid any attention. No one got "robbed"
