It would be really dumb if her to start lying about things like this. If she's telling the truth about Foster, why put yourself in position to be called a liar about inconsequential things like this.
The 49ers didnt release Foster because they tought he was guilty, they released him because he was stupid enough to still be with this woman and bringing her to team hotels

I've been in a toxic relationship before. It's hard.
We're perfectly fine friends now but when we were dating, it was like we couldn't get out of each other's way. Everything was to an extreme, the good times and the bad.
It was like we were SO comfortable with each other that we were ok with being complete assholes to each other. Mostly because we knew we'd be great the next day and when we clicked it was wonderful.
I hope he didn't hit this chick. And I hope he can step back and realize how much he needs to get away from her.

It's just as believable a scenario to conclude it's likely Foster beat her, he worked with the team to quiet her down while promising to take care of her, then he beat her again which caused them to cut bait and start trying to poke holes into her story.
