Radiohead - You and Whose Army?
I think this track is a great example of legendary artists at the top of their powers that can just throw shite at a wall and come up with something incredible.
Thom's haunting vocals sound a bit manipulated as he rambles about Holy Roman empires and such. Musically we are treated to a gorgeous yet simple piano piece before an absurdly early (a good ~7 seconds before reaching the two minute mark) sweeping full-band climax . It feels far more epic than its relatively swift tracking length.
Thoughts? Best track off Amnesiac ?

Idk. Its a damn good song, but I Might Be Wrong is so badass
Jonny is such a criminally underappreciated musician, man. I mean he plays every instrument on the planet, but on guitar and keyboard his tone and ethereal, minimalist style just always compliments Thom's melancholy vocals so perfectly
Michael Stipe must wake up with cold sweats some nights thinking about how masterfully radiohead evolved their sound over 25 yrs

This was awesome in new orleans in 2003 with the camera in the piano with Thom's getting close to it and giving crazy facial expressions.
Def a moment I wont forget.

Another one of their very best. That nasty industrial outro is premier composition.

pyramid song
knives out
life in a glasshouse
are my 3 favorite from Amnesiac. though i do love you & whose army too. it's actually easier to select the couple of songs i don't like.

Depending on when you ask me, Moon Shaped Pool has quietly snuck its way into my revolving top 3 radiohead albums
Decks dark
Identikit
The numbers
Present tense
Tinker tailor soldier
True love waits
Just a masterpiece of an album. holds its own with anything theyve done

I need to give it another spin. Just sort of gave up on that and King of Limbs , their victory lap was In Rainbows imo.
