This whole Herbie/UGA love fest

Herbie knows UGA will never make the final 4. This is all a play he is making. Herbie is hoping UGA #3 or #4 will pull votes from OU and get OH ST in the final 4. Herbie doesn't care about UGA or the SEC or even the top 4. He went on to trash OU's defense. This is a scam.

Herbie openly celebrated on the set last season when the committee picked Alabama over Ohio State in the final selection. Said he was thrilled the committee chose the better team. Get a clue.

Ummm, no. He walked off the set visibly angry at the selection that left his beloved Buckeyes out. Then tried to spin it this AM on Gameday to say people “misunderstood” his reaction and he was “shocked” that the committee did “the right thing” and put Bama in.

ESPN just wants to drum up some controversy so people will watch their show tomorrow.
No one would be talking about the possibility of Georgia being in unless all these ESPN people started pushing it.
Oklahoma should be in and will be in.

Herb is had it right. GA is a top 4 team. Move them up to play Clemson. Let Notre Dame deal with Bama. OSU isn't that good and OU isn't the quality team GA is.

Or he just sees the top of the SEC for what it is. Bama, UGA, and Clemson are probably favored against anyone on a neutral field. LSU favored against anyone outside of those 3 plus OU and OSU. ND is a paper tiger. Honestly, Texas is the only other team worth consideration by Vegas standards.

Multiple people have now made this claim. I just don't understand the narrative that he would be lobbying for Georgia in order to pull votes away from Oklahoma. If Georgia receives more votes than Oklahoma, then they will surely also receive more votes than Ohio State. This is one conspiracy theory that just makes no sense at all, to me.
With that being said, I think Kirk is way off base in thinking Georgia will stay at 4, let alone move UP to 3, which is what he is actually saying. That's just not happening.

It's not just Herbstreet. Last week John Kincaid had his final four in order of 1 to 4 as Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Georgia. Today in order he has Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, and Notre Dame. In other words giving up 14 points with six minutes left against a team forced to play it's backup quarterback is worthy of not only staying in front of two teams that won their conference championship games by double digits but also worthy of jumping over a team that was idle this week.
