This may have been posted before (if so, apologies!) but this guy breaks out what LSU runs versus what Brosette has given us this year in comparison to what Emery has shown in high school and will hopefully bring in 2019. Exciting analysis!

This offense could have benefited greatly from a homerun threat.

Emery is a legit Guice level of talent. He's a strider so he doesn't look nearly as fast as he is.

At the opening, he ran a laser timed 4.42 he's special.

People need to be aware though that there is going to be a learning curve.

He may come in and set the world on fire but Ty Davis's style will translate faster to CFB than Emery's will.

Agree. Even Fournette said it took him a little while before the game started to slow down for him.

We really missed the power backs this year. Never thought I'd see a year when we struggled this bad to run the ball.

Emery fixes that.

I said this prior to the UF game that the Gators were actually soft in the middle and we could exploit them with a power back, but Brossette is more of a finesse runner and CEH is a shifty back with some power, but not a true between the tackles runner. Davis will give us the power back and Emery can run inside or out and take it to the house. If we get even moderately competent blocking our run game should be very good against any team not named Bama. We will still need to open the offense to beat them as proven when Guice and LF were here.

The addition of Emery and Davis will be night and day when comparing the offense of next year and this year.

Agreed. Makes me wonder how good Burrow could be with a legitimate running game.

Which means he won’t play next year bc we don’t know how to use athletes

I don’t hear that complaint about LSU football, mainly that we don’t have the right talent.

I like Emery a lot but don’t be surprised if Davis has a bigger impact?

What was very, very interesting to me was the commentator’s final comments about whether or not will be LSU’s OC next year. Listen to it.... emery must have been told about a change. Make it happen O!!

Those guys and a competent offensive coordinator with a new offensive staff. Otherwise it’ll be much of the same.

Brossette and CEH did a good job in tandem this year, but not a great one like we're used too.

It'll be nice to have a legit homerun threat like Emery again.

Our backfield will be stacked next year.

Emery, CEH, Davis, Curry, and Fournette

Don’t discount the value of experience on this team. Even some of the holes made by the OL this season, Emery would have likely exploited more effectively than Brossette or CEH.

A back with 4.42 speed would have broken several plays. In several.games.

Emery and Davis close another GAP with Bama. The back with TAM definitely showed what a top back, can do even against a good defense.
