That’s literally everything I need to know about this guy. Make it freaking happen.

Why did Giles leave Tech? Was that ever discussed?
Posted on 11/27/18 at 1:46 pm to NotLSUSports
The Big 12 made Giles a Biletnikoff finalist I think.

Manziel, Mayfield and Mahomes

You guys keep saying this like it's LSU that needs convincing and we can just snap our fingers and he'd be here
20 schools have probably contacted him by now, and a dozen NFL teams

He isn't taking an OC job at LSU when he could be a head coach elsewhere.

Kliff and his Konference also made Jarrett Stidham a Heisman candidate. #Big12NoDefense

Big 12 no defense conference. Will not work in the SEC

what hc offers is he getting? he's either headed to the nfl or will be a coordinator in college.

Giles was never a finalist.

He is going to UNC with Mack
Posted on 11/27/18 at 3:59 pm to NotLSUSports
He's headed to the NFL with his offense that "wouldn't work in the SEC".

Yeah people said this about Chip Kelly too...and they were right. Didn't work out for Spurrier either. Just because NFL teams allegedly are willing to give him a chance doesn't mean his offense will work in the NFL. That remains to be seen

LSU needs to go scorched Earth to get him as OC. Write the man a check and call it a day. Let's show people that we might be serious about finally fixing this offense.

The B12 does not play even a shred of defense. KU might end up having the best defense in that conference after Les is there a couple of years.

Why do y'all keep repeating this ad nauseam? His most prolific offense as an OC or HC was at Texas A&M in 2012 when he was averaging over 7 yards per play against vaunted SEC defenses.

Yeah, having a Heisman trophy QB like Manziel earned Sumlin a shite load of money too. What bar is he drunk at right now?

Did it work in the SEC, or no? Kingsbury has been a damn good OC wherever he's been. Seems like since both Sumlin and Manziel are has-beens, they needed Kingsbury.

Kingsbury was an OC all of 3 years in his entire coaching career, 2 at Houston and 1 at A&M. Regardless, you will not win in this conference not being able to run the ball. His teams have finished in the bottom half (several times last) in the Big 12 in rushing yards every year he's been there. Oddly enough, he had a losing record at Tech. And as another poster mentioned, we continuously dominate air raid teams and so do most teams in this conference. So why is it that every time an offensive coach from a team like this comes available do our fans slob all over them?

Might be the fact that we will have the same defense we have now but with a better offense...

Because we play defense, that doesn't change the fact that we haven't scored more than 17 points vs. Alabama since 2010. We have scored more against them than they average giving up three times in the last nine games. And not at all since 2015. We are consistently significantly below average on the offensive end, despite top end recruiting hauls and a defense that gets opponents off the field as much or more than any defense in the country.
