I hate to single out a kid but I have no idea wtf he was thinking. Took a bad angle and makes it worse by pulling his arm down. I can’t see any reason whatsoever to not attempt to knock it away.

Yea, it’s hard to tell from this angle but he prolly couldn’t get a hand on it so he gave up.

Although this could be true, it is not a good reason for a defensive player. As a defender, at worst, you try to run visual interference if possible.
No one is ever taught to give up if you can’t reach it.

It’s jyst one of several plays that could have been made though. Hell, even Delpit had a ball bounce off his shoulders on the last drive of regulation. It happens.
