Fixed. He's been damn good at it since 2013. It just rarely gets noticed unless he's flipping people like he did a couple of times this year.
But if you watch him every single snap he does it, he's money.

Ingram's pass blocking has been fantastic his entire career. It has often gone overlooked until this year because he has had some highlight type blocks on big name players. ---edit what bonethug said while I was typing
Ingram also runs the screen better than Kamara because he's more patient with his blockers. He's also a better pure power runner. Kamara breaks more 10 yard hit the hole type plays, but also has more 1 and two yard gains.
Ingram's is going for at the least 3 yards every time he gets a carry. Difference is he consistently stays between 3 and 8 yards a carry most of the time. where as Kamara will more often break a 15 yarder or more.
Both have fits in this offense but feeding one guy the most of the carries makes us more one-dimensional in the run game because they have a guy to key on. That isn't what this offense is designed to do.

I would say just the opposite.

Maybe so just my observation. I could be wrong though because I'm human.

It just looks to me like Ingram has many more 1 & 2 yard runs than Kamara. Ingram occasionally breaks a 20 or 30 yarder, Kamara has more 8, 9 yard runs.

Ingram is more of a traditional RB and is much easier to replace. Kamara is special imo

Games 1 through 4 says you are wrong.

I'm fine with our RB platoon. I think we use hill too much

Or worse sometimes we'll have a 3 and out and Kamara didn't touch the field.
saints have punted 24 times this year.
soooo...theres a good chance this has literally never happened.

I actually despise the RBBC, but that’s not what Payton is doing with them. In years past that’s what he did. The personnel at RB doesn’t tip off the defense to anything because Kamara and Ingram can both do it all, and they do it all really well
This is the main difference compared to years past. Defenses have no clue what we'll do with either of them and its glorious.

It seems like you are demonstrating why we need both.
We do need both. Since Payton has been here, our best offenses have made use of both roles. Deuce/PT & Reggie, PT & Sproles, now Ingram & Kamara. Each iteration seems to get better than the last.

yup. diminishing returns with the hill package, but there's a good chance payton will make me eat those words by the end of the season.
I love this. I have absolute trust in Payton. I know 100% that there will come a time in the next 8 games that I'll see Taysom come in an think crap another wasted play and then he will do something completely unexpected, like a jump pass for a TD or a pitch to brees for a long bomb TD or something i cant even think of that will thrill the shite out of me. I know its coming and you know that the team on the other side of the ball knows it too and they have to game plan for it.

Haha. A ton of downvotes on my original post. Can't say I didn't expect it. I like Ingram I just think he really isn't anywhere close to Kamara in terms of ability and it should be more of a 75 to 25 split in favor of Kamara rather than the 50-50 split that we seem to be giving the last few weeks. I know we've been blowing people out but I'm worried that if we do this against better teams we may be making things harder on ourselves.
I love using Kamara as a decoy and faking the handoff then giving it to Ingram the other way. It's when Kamara doesn't touch the field for a series that I get annoyed. And someone said this probably has never happened but if you've been paying attention it definitely has happened several times throughout the year.
I'll probably get a lot of downvotes for this again but I'm a firm believer in the idea that you don't ignore in a win what you wouldn't ignore in a loss. Yes, the Saints are a powerhouse, no one is denying that. That doesn't mean we can't look for areas to improve. I feel similarly about Kamara not getting enough touches as I do about Taysom getting too many snaps at QB. Yeah I like Taysom but Drew is arguably playing better than any QB in the league so I don't really love having Taysom throw on first down.

What makes Kamara who he is, is predicated by whoever the other 10 guys are on the field.
Let CSP figure those 11 out.
