Wanted to get the board's opinion on this. I believe Kamara is the best playmaker on our team and the scariest player for opposing defenses.

Obviously Ingram is also an important part of this team and in no way am I trying to bash him or anything like that. Also, I think Sean is an amazing play caller.

That said, sometimes I do feel like we should just pump the ball to Kamara more. For example there are times Kamara goes straight up the gut for a quick 10 and then follows it with another 10 on the next play and gets up doing the motion like he's eating and walks back to the huddle looking not tired at all and then comes out the game, and I'm just thinking "man just keep feeding him."

Or worse sometimes we'll have a 3 and out and Kamara didn't touch the field.

I guess I just wonder sometimes if our team would be better served giving him the real lion's share of the carries rather than splitting touches fairly evenly with Ingram. Thoughts?

With as many weapons as the Saints have on offense it keeps the defense guessing

yes sometimes one has more effect running the ball then the other guy depending on who they are facing, but sharing the load keeps both fresh and free from injury, nagging bruises, fatigue, so thats why its done.

trust the process, there is a very good reason not to ride one horse until he drops or gets injured

When we are in a tight situation then those Kamara focused plays will be called. Till then keep him healthy and let him run wild during the playoffs when it actually matters.

Ingram actually has slightly better yards per carry then Kamara. 4.9 vs 4.7. They are both among the best in the league. Kamara has the ability to make you miss in the open field but between the tackles I think Ingram is a better choice. He just seems stronger and more able to carry defenders for extra yards.

Trust the process. Its a long season. I agree with Kamara being a better overall back but Ingram is very important to how deep a run this team can make.

Ingram's pass blocking has been fantastic this year.

In 2009, we had Bush, PT, and Mike Bell all contributing in the running game. SP is doing similar with AK and MI....it's been effective the last year and a half....not sure why we'd change what's working. I think everyone would agree that AK is the more dynamic and "sexy" back, and it'd be great to show him off.....but what SP is currently doing is working just great....and Kamara is doing his thing with the touches he's getting.

If it ain't broke....

on a lot of ingram's best runs, Kamara is pulling the defense the other way. and those 2 YPC is negligible, at least to me.

i'll post a couple of screen caps. look at the numbers Kamara was headed for before ingram came back. i'm not saying ingram is a slouch or even average. he's a starter for a lot of teams.

Kamara is just a bad motherfricker.

I don't disagree with any of this, I just think that their running styles are different and there is a place for both. Kamara can break tackles but you rarely see him muscle a tackler or two for an extra 3-4 yards. Ingram does that every time. When you are trying to control clock and punish a defense then Ingram is the Hammer. When you are in quick strike mode Kamara is the man.

It seems like you are demonstrating why we need both. Kamara is such a play maker that he draws defenses attention and is a great decoy even when he doesnt get the ball. I love that. Believe me, I have Kamara on my fantasy team and would love for him to score more.

Payton is using them both perfectly.

Defenses can neither predict nor stop our running game.

The answer is pretty simple, we have both, we utilize both, we win with both. Who cares about anything else

Kamara is shock and awe.

Ingram breaks your will after chasing Kamara all game.

They compliment each other.
