Honest question: who’s stellar performances impact this team more, Jrue or ad?

If you had to pick one of the two, who’s play dictated our sweep against Portland?

Edit to add: who embodies Nola more with their play? Jrue or AD?

Soft or Unlucky. No one can argue (not saying anyone is) AD isn't injury prone.

That’s such a loaded question lol.

AD was already great and btw had his career game in the close out game 4...

But this time last year this board was
-harping on Jrue saying he’s not worth the contract he signed
-harping on Boogie for not playing hard
-others saying Boogie was better than AD

AD is the rising tide for everyone on the roster. Makes everyone better, including Jrue.

To say he’s not our MVP-& by all accounts he is- shows an incredible bias.

I wonder if he was already re-signed would this board be harping on him.

Such insecurity around here.

You people forget the Dan Dickau Lee Nallion days.

This franchise has never had a better player than AD, including Boogie, Jrue, CP3, West, Mashburn and Baron Davis.

He led this team it’s best year.

He’s now being vocal & people are bitching.

He’s playing through injuries and people are complaining.

Losing to three straight East teams sucks, but turning on him is bad fanhood.

How can you honestly defend this bum at this point??? Come on bro you are better than this. I know you are. Find your inner strength and just admit it to yourself. You’ll feel a lot better about yourself. Maybe we can get you a therapist after if you have trouble coping with the fact that AD isn’t as good as you thought. Itll all be ok little buddy. We will push through this together. Stay strong

He has more talent than All of those players but he definitely was/is not better than CP3 in regards to his drive to win. I really just haven't seen his game/leadership improve any. So far this year, he's added passing and lost his jumper. Still has no handle. Shooting poorly from the FT line. Still hardly tries on Defense and the games he has returned from Injury he just floated around doing nothing. Also ""WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ALWAYS GETTING INJURED MAN!!?""
The thing that bothers me the most aside from what I said above is his lack of enthusiasm. Especially when it comes to supporting his team mates. He just always looks like "let me hurry up and get this game tf over with". Maybe thats just his personality but thats a a part of being a leader. Consistently rallying troops. and he does not consistently do that. In a few games we've battled back and come up short but the team always plays hard when he's out. When he's in some nights, everyone plays hard but him.

Yet you didn’t answer any of the questions.

The answer is Jrue holiday.

Because answering loaded questions is foolish.

“Emodies NOLA?”

That’s utter nonsense, Your bias is showing.

Facts don’t care about your feelings.

AD is the best player in franchise history and a top 3 player in the league. Jrue Holiday has had a better career because of Davis not the other way around.

What I mean is, who do you see giving it his all every night? Anybody ever question Jrues attitude or fight? But we have questioned Davis. Why?

How exactly are you judging that?

I’ll argue that Davis has almost double the responsibility defensively and as much on offense, even more so when Jrue is playing his idea position of off ball guard.

Davis has to be more calculated, ceberal if you will.

I love Jrue Holiday, even last summer when most people thought he was overpaid and held Demps over barrel, then wondered why we signed Rondo, etc....

I love Moore...and Niko(before he was a Pel) and Randle.

But all of those guys are better because they are playing with Davis. Even Boogie was playing better with AD.

AD is a lot like Tim Duncan. He makes everyone better, even if the naked eye doesn’t show it.

He’s more vocal than ever, something this fan base has been begging for.

Shitting on AD after this terrible road trip (again) isn’t without credence, he’s the leader and deserves blame...but he also carries us to victories when our “lunch pale” guys are playing like shite, turning the ball over, etc.

And you get downvoted for that. If you're not shitting on our players you aren't doing it right. Water LITERALLY said he would take Jayson Tatum over Anthony Davis. I'm never letting that go. That's the DUMBEST thing I've read on this site in like 2 days.

So you know for a fact that Davis was on the bench in WAS spurring his team on?

Or was he back in NOLA resting his hip?

I didn't see him on the bench in the highlights I watched.
Didn't get a chance to watch the game.

I know Davis came back into the game when he was hurt.

I know during the Knicks (Pels)home game, he’s the ONLY one to show up.

I know he put his team on his back when Boogie went down, thrusting himself into the MVP conversation.

You should be enjoying the greatnesss you get to watch from you local team.

IF he leaves a Jrue Holiday led team(& he’ll leave too btw) won’t sniff a title. Remember that.

I would love AD over all of them but I’ve gof a bad feeling he is leaving for a better team( bigger market) and we are going to have nothing in return

Literally finished 3rd in MVP voting last year.

Lot of prisoner of the moment fans on this board forgot how AD took over and dominated after Boogie went down.

I'm not happy with the current stretch of play, but this is the same team that beat Toronto on the road and destroyed the Spurs. It's a long season. These threads are dumb at this point in the season.

And Harden finished first in MVP voting, but nobody would argue that he is the best player in the world.

Look, AD is a great talent but my hope was that with Rondo gone, he would also become a great leader. Night in, night out he would take on that role. But if we are all being honest with ourselves, he hasn't and he never will.

He is an ultra talented player who picks and chooses when to give max effort, sulks at times, and can almost never be seen leading this team in a vocal way.

He is a dependant player. Dependant on other guys to get him the ball in the right spots and dependant on his teammates to pick up the leadership and verbal slack.

If there is a draft and every player is in it and it's for this season only, no way is he in my top 3. He is probably 7th or 8th on my board

Lebron: 28.3 pts, 7.9 rb, 6.9 ast, 27.6 per, 1.3 stl, 0.9 blk, 3.5 tov

AD: 27 pts, 12.9 rb, 5 ast, 28.1 per, 1.5 stl, 2.7 blk, 2.3 tov

So everybody pretty much universally agrees Lebron is the best on the planet. AD is having a better season than Lebron, statistically that isnt up for debate. But somehow AD isnt elite or top 3.
