Admittedly I am going by team results primarily, but the bios look ok.
Syracuse - Mike Lynch Syracuse Coaching Site
Temple - Dave Patenaude or Ed Foley
Temple Coaches Page
Temple is 31st in total offense, while Temple is 66th.
Syracuse - Mike Lynch Syracuse Coaching Site
quote:
Lynch’s first season at Syracuse marked the dawn of a new era for the program. The transition from a run-based scheme to the up-tempo spread utilized by Babers and Lynch resulted in more than 40 school records, including new season marks for most pass completions (332) and most passing yards (3,855). The play of Lynch’s offensive line was critical to the production, as the group protected a collection of Syracuse quarterbacks who ranked 11th nationally and second in the ACC in passing at 321.3 yards per game.
Temple - Dave Patenaude or Ed Foley
Temple Coaches Page
quote:
Dave Patenaude, who spent the previous five seasons as the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach for Coastal Carolina, began the same role for the Owls on head coach Geoff Collins’ new coaching staff in 2017.
In 2017, he was tasked with having to replace Phillip Walker, the school's all-time leading passer. Redshirt sophomore Logan Marchi earned the starting role and held the position down for seven weeks before being sidelined by injury. In stepped redshirt junior Frank Nutile who provided a spark and led the Owls to a 4-2 record, including a Gasparilla Bowl victory, down the stretch. Despite having two different starters, Temple passed for 3,273 yards, the second best total in school history.

Ed Foley is in his 11th season at Temple where he is the assistant head coach offense / special teams coordinator / tight ends coach. He was promoted to assistant head coach in 2018 but continues to lead the tight ends and special teams units.
The longest tenured member of the staff, Foley has had numerous roles with the Owls including interim head coach for the 2016 Military Bowl presented by Northrup Grumman. He was one of two coaches retained by Geoff Collins making Collins the fourth Owls' head coach that Foley has worked under.
Temple is 31st in total offense, while Temple is 66th.

Just curious why is everyone assuming SE is out as OC at the end of the season?

I don't think he is, just offering up alternatives. Probably would just step down or share the role for next year.

E does not challenge authority. That matters more than results.

Yep.
I think O's proven that his #1 priority is hiring a buddy that will fall in line.
If he wanted a top offense he would've made an appropriate hire last season.
