I care. Not because of the BS spewed by talking heads but the actual people making the laws. It effects me in a very real way every day in that it impacts my paycheck, other taxes and fees and often seeks to control and regulate what I can do.
The fact that there are people out there looking to limit or outright ban constitutional rights based on how they feel is disconcerting.
Calling a Supreme Court justice nominee a rapist for shite that happened damn near 40 years ago AND could not be proven just because he dared to be a conservative is disconcerting.
Yahoos calling Trump “literally Hitler” and then advocating for democratic socialism is disconcerting.
So, yes I care and I pay attention. I also vote.

No. Not the ones I know. Well, maybe I should really say that very few women I interact with at work and on a more personal level understand politics. They think they do but most of them sound like Ocasio-Cortez.
The more right leaning ones tend to have a better grasp on how political choices impact their day to day lives.

Conservative female here. I read this board and several other sites daily, but don’t post much - usually due to not having enough time.
I’d say I talk politics much more with my male friends than female friends and with my dad more than my mom. I won’t engage with someone on politics unless I know they’re conservative and I change the subject if a liberal starts in on something. I have no interest in trying to debate. It’s pointless.

Of course they care about politics, especially white suburban women. It is their vehicle to assuage their white guilt. They don't want to give any of their money via taxation, as they'd rather spend it on material goods. That's why the "tax the rich" mantra resonates with them -- they can make someone else pay for their guilt.

women care about security. everything they believe springs from that. security makes anything ok.
