re: I didn’t think Marcus Davenport looked very good last night

Rankins did play most passing downs that I saw. Davidson came in on goal line sometimes

Here we go.. so called "fans" bitching about every little thing. Don't know what you were watching, but all I saw was big #92 blowing up outside rush plays and keeping up with the rbs while also pressuring Ryan. And this dude just came off an injury. Stop being harshly critical for nothing

Lol dude set the edge well most the night. 1st game back. He’s a monster in the making.
Him and Cam make the best bookend pair in the NFL as far as playing the run/rushing the passer.

I’ll always be satisfied with Davenport if he keeps on chasing down dudes as fast as Julio.

My brother and i were sitting behind the south end zone and on three different plays you could see he was running with a slight limp chasing down a runner going across the field. His toe was obviously keeping him from going full speed and getting tackles for loss. That being said all three plays he kept the runner from getting a big gain and still looked very fast. On the last one we noticed that he also had a significant limp to the sideline.

Did you notice where Davenport was playing DT and was disrupting plays? He played well for still having a toe injury.

He played well he didn't get TFL like he normally would.
We know he's gonna have to deal with the toe injury all. That's a gimme. The only real question is, will more rest alleviate some of his pain? If it does. I think the smart move would be to hold him out a few more weeks.

We held him out for over 3 weeks and it did nothing to help. It's a type of injury that needs months of rest to fully heal (being "almost" healed won't really do anything for it), or surgery.
Despite the injury he still played pretty well. Not pre injury level, but good enough that if he wants to keep playing through the pain he should.
If not he should just get surgery now since he won't be fully healthy at any point this year anyway.
I know I'm probably annoying a few people by repeating this, but I have a lot of experience with the injury he has. He's either going to play hurt now or not play for the rest of the year.
The only rest I could see him getting would be not playing Dallas since it's 10 days to the TB game after (so about 2 and a half weeks of rest). But as soon as he plays again it will flare up so I don't see the point.
